Faculty of Education of UP implements many public educational, popularization and other positive interventions in public life. The individual departments of the Faculty and the communication department are involved in their implementation. Huge number of activities are being carried out at the Faculty – or directly in the field at schools or other places – these reach not only the academic community of the university, but also the wider public, including children and young people. We use not only the traditional formats of lectures, workshops and courses, but also various innovative media formats and web presentations. This is to raise the profile of our professional, artistic and project activities, to promote education, the teaching profession, research, and to act as a leader of change in the field of the various topics highlighted. These included the popularisation of teaching, pedagogy and science in general, education in the field of healthy lifestyle, the topic of wellbeing and health, common education and education of people with special educational needs, media literacy, prevention of risky behaviours, predominantly in cyberspace, promotion of Czech sign language, financial literacy, etc. The Faculty of Education also offers paid activities – for example, educational courses within the framework of lifelong learning or summer camps and suburban camps for children and youth. Science and Art Days are repeated annually, cultural events, exhibitions and concerts are held throughout the year, and we also regularly prepare a rich programme for our alumni. Many activities that resonate in the public space are continuously prepared by the e-Safety team, whether it was various webinars, workshops, talks and educational events, or tutorials and other methodological materials on digital technologies.
